Laura Knott | NOV 17, 2025

Happy mid-month update!

I wanted to take a minute to share a pop-up zoom Yoga class, along with a few opportunities for giving and sharing this holiday season. Also, tomorrow (11/18) is my monthly library workshop at Hunterdon County Main Branch.

Scroll through to see if anything catches your interest!

We hold our Friday Chair Yoga class in this lovely space in Alexandria Township. While we were practicing last week, we noticed the donation area set up and asked about their program.

You can drop off the items listed to Fellowship Hall from 9-12, or contact me and I will get them there for you. They are at 141 Little York Mt. Pleasant Road, Milford.

Grocery suggestions are listed above. This program has a quick turnaround time, so if you can, help out a family this holiday season!

United Way of Hunterdon County 'Holiday Hands' -

Donate household items and toys for their holiday shop

This is one of my favorite opportunities for giving during the holiday season. I volunteer setting up the store because I get a real kick out of merchandising and organizing toys and household items on the shelves. This must go back to my days of being a Border's bookstore manager. 😆

Holiday Hands is a wonderful program. Local families and individuals in need apply and then get the opportunity to pick a donated item from this store shelves. This is a great program, and you can give in variety of ways.....

Click here to donate by credit card through their website

If you are an online shopper, Click here to see the Amazon and Walmart wish lists. You can shop online and have the items automatically shipped right to the United Way.

If you are an in-person shopper, check out the online wish list OR see the abbreviated version posted above. You can bring your items right to the United Way at 20 Fulper Road Flemington during regular business hours, or you can give it to me during class and I will bring it in for you. You can also drop it off in the donation box at Riegal Ridge Community Center.

Donations are due to Flemington by December 9th, which is coming quick this year!! Let me know if you have any questions.

Flemington Food Pantry -

serving Hunterdon County since 1982

All food pantries are working hard this time of year, and even harder as prices rise and government assistance programs are threatened.

If you are in Flemington, is it easy to drop donations off at the rear side door of the pantry (154 Rt 31 North, across the parking lot from the Walmart) from 9-4 during the week, as well as limited Wednesday evenings and Saturdays (check website for exact schedule).

While you're on the website, you can check out their wish list and Amazon wish list. We hear from students who work there that the best gift is monetary donations so they can purchase what they need. Of course, items like canned meats/veggies/fruit/soup, oatmeal, pasta, diapers/pads, and gift cards are also welcome.

In December, all of my proceeds from my Zoom and In-Person Chair Yoga class on Friday will be donated to the food pantry. This is the class that takes place at 11 am at the Alexandria First Presbyterian church in Milford. So a donation to me in December is really a donation for the community!

New Pop-Up ZOOM Class Added!

As always, my Zoom classes are donation/pay-as-you-like and open to all levels.

But it you're too busy running around to do some yoga, then that's ok too!
